Active Release Techniques (ART)
Active Release Technique is a movement-based manual therapy technique that addresses muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. It involves breaking up adhesions in the soft tissues by having the patient go through various motions while the doctor applies a very specific pressure to the area being treated. It has been proven to be highly effective in treating many repetitive overuse injuries such as IT band syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, low back pain, golfer’s elbow, tennis elbow, shin splints and even headaches.
Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy
Chiropractic manipulation is used to release restricted joints in both the spine and the extremities. Joints often become restricted due to poor posture, improper biomechanics, and/or injury. A joint that is restricted leads to excessive motion in nearby joints. This excessive motion leads to degeneration of the joint. Therefore, restoring movement and function in all joints is a preventative procedure for future degeneration and dysfunction.
Flexion Distraction Therapy
Flexion distraction is a non-surgical technique aimed at increasing spinal motion and resolving disc bulges and disc herniations. The treatment is excellent as a safe, gentle, non-force procedure and works well to take pressure off the spinal nerves that may be injured or dysfunctional.
IASTM/Graston
Our unique technique and instruments help break up scar tissue and fascial restrictions. In time, this process will reduce or eliminate the adhered fibers, restoring range of motion and eliminating the associated pain.
Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology Tape alleviates discomfort and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting affect forms convolutions in the skin thus increasing interstitial space and allowing for a decrease in inflammation, reducing pressure while enabling a more effective flow of blood and lymphatic fluid in and out of the target area.
